The Church Search
Searching for a church is often a difficult experience. Miami Florida Churches wants to help make the process as simple as possible. Here are some questions to think about as you look for a church.
1. Are you looking for a particular denomination?
You may want to find a church that is similar to what you are used to. Some people like to try out a different church while they are on vacation or searching for a new church.
2. What does the church believe and is it close to what you believe?
This is an important question that you need to get answered in the beginning of your experience with a church. You can ask someone at the church for a Statement of Faith or check out their beliefs on a website if they have one.
3. What worship style do you want in a church?
Some people enjoy a very structured liturgical service. Others are looking for a more contemporary or casual service.
4. Would you rather attend a large, medium or small church?
There are obvious advantages and disadvantages to the size of a church. It is really all about what you prefer.
5. Does the church have ministries/programs that you would be interested in?
Are there Bible study groups, home groups, men’s groups, women’s group, children’s programs, youth programs, etc. What is important to you?
You might want to call or email the church before you go to get any other questions you might have answered. Often, a church website can be a great source of information as well. As you search for a church remember that no churches are perfect. A church should be a place where you feel you can connect with God and other believers. It should be a place where people’s lives are being changed. Once you find these things you have probably found the church you were searching for.
